GM2I - Ixpel Mecha - 46443 - Plastic Kits (Ships AUG, 2027)
Ixpel, the main mecha from the robot action-shoot'em up game Formation Z, is now a plastic model kit!
Formation Z is originally an arcade game released in 1984 which was later ported to home consoles in 1985.
The game is a side-scrolling action-shoot’em up, and Ixpel is the transforming combat mecha which the player controls in the game.
With newly refined designs made by renowned Japanese mecha designer Kanetake Ebikawa, Ixpel is now the first model kit to be released under the GM²I brand!
The modified designs by Ebikawa gives the Ixpel a more stylish and sharp look for both Land (robot) and Air (fighter jet) Formations.
The model can recreate both Land and Air Formations with the use of interchangeable parts included in the kit!
GM²I is a plastic model brand dedicated to making plastic model kits of mecha from classic retro games. The designer team responsible for refining the classic designs include Kanetake Ebikawa (Mobile Suit Gundam 00, the Full Metal Panic! franchise) and Takayuki Yanase (Mazinger Z: Infinity, Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Switch). Also, Takanobu Terada (the Super Robot Wars franchise) acts as a producer for the brand.
