Edit: July 5, 2009. I added Kotobukiya here because I'm passionate about their products too and XL does bring in Kotobukiya Marvel stuff, etc.

Hi guys, I browsed through 6 pages, and no sign of anything on DC Direct except for one nick guy asking if he could find DC Direct figures in Malaysia and another thread. I also used the search function, no DC Direct Thread.

So, here it is, DC Direct Statues and Toys.

Let's start off with a well known superheroine in DC called Power Girl.

Soliciting in July 09 and will be released in February 2010.

Cover Girls of The DC Universe: Power Girl.

5th statue of the series.

Again sculpted by the master, Jack Matthews.

The first four girls were

1.Wonder Woman
2.Zatanna
3.Catwoman
4.Black Canary

BASED ON THE ART OF ADAM HUGHES; SCULPTED BY JACK MATHEWS

As the cousin of Superman, Power Girl packs quite a punch as one of the heaviest hitters in the JSA. And now, she stars in her own smash-hit monthly series, further increasing her popularity and cementing her place as one of the greatest superheroines of all time!

This latest addition to the instantly popular COVER GIRLS OF THE DC UNIVERSE statue line is posed just as she appears on the variant cover of Adam Hughes' POWER GIRL #2.

Hand-painted, cold-cast in porcelain and measuring approximately 9" tall x 6.5" wide x 4.25" deep, this statue includes a 4-color Certificate of Authenticity and is packaged in a 4-color box. Limited Edition. Manufactured to order.

DC Direct's new Superman action figure.

This one shows the man of steel as the man of energy!

In 1998, Superman the man of steel had an encounter that threatened his life and changed his metaphysics. He was transforming into pure energy. Lex Luthor devised a special suit that would contain Superman's energy form and save his life. Without the suit, Superman would have transformed into pure energy and disappeared forever. Thus, the man of steel became the man of energy.

This action figure shows superman in his infamous blue and white uniform.

There's a new animated DC comic movie coming up.

It's called Superman/Batman Public Enemies.

Statues based on this new movie are up for preorder.

The movie is based on the the comic of the same name by Jeph Loeb.

Meanwhile, on Kotobukiya's front, San Diego Comic Convention is coming up soon, starting July 23rd! Master Japanese sculptor, Junnosuke Abe-sensei will be at the Kotobukiya booth to do a live sculpting demo. At the end of July 26th, he will reveal a brand new 1/6 scale Astonishing X-Men Wolverine! Based on the designs by comic artists John Cassady! It will be the yellow and blue Astonishing X-Men uniform.

There is one toyshop that brings in DC Direct stuff in the PJ area. But I don't recommend them.

On the other hand, you can go to The Mind Shop at Centerpoint, Bandar Utama.

It's a comic shop, but you can place orders for the DC Direct statues. There's where I get mine.

XL Shop brings in some DC Direct action figures from time to time. No statues yet so far.

ShiokToys brought in the Superman VS Darkseid diorama statue once, and took preorders for the Batgirl VS Catwoman diorama as well. But quite limited on the DC Direct offerings.

Js88, that Jim Lee Black & White Joker, if I remember correctly was opened for preorder some time ago.

You may have to find a shop that has stock or is able to restock.

Since the black and white Batman statues, this Joker included aren't too big, why not try eBay? It isn't big, so shipping won't cost too much.

One more thing I'd like to mention is, of all places, one place you may have never thought of buying DC Direct stuff is Kinokuniya bookstore at KLCC.

They had the Black and White Batman statues, the Green Lantern VS Sinestro diorama, Superman Daily Planet statue and others at one time. From time to time, you can find some new DC Direct statues put into their glass display cabinet. Perhaps you can enquire if they can backorder or preorder anything you like.

I have purchased some statues from them before.

Hope that helps.
