er.. yeah.. cutting off unwanted shirt or hair part from the pinky .
most of the time i just use hands and for finer detail use cutter . you could carve it or sand it after when the putty harden .
actually i haven't found any pinky complette modification tutorial site .the site that i showed you has the most information so far (that i found). but more details stuff is not available. mostly i found out by doing it myself.

after u apply those epoxy on the pinky,u use sand paper 2 make them smooth after they harden rite?do u use thinner 2 polish them for smoothing?
by the way some detail like hole,texture,line.....u use what 2 make it?is it have 2 wait until epoxy putty harden only can make those?or alr make those line, texture b4 they go hard?
pai seh for asking u so much question
anyway thanks~
um .... rite . let me try to answer your ??? one by one .
1) yes .just use hands and cutters . yuna ribbon is made entirely with epoxy putty , and the tidus long sleeve(black color one) ? thats just tape i put on pinky to prevent putty from sticking on to . everything not pinky itself is made of epoxy putty .
2)no,i dont use thinner to smooth the surface(never tried.can meh??).only use sand paper, the finest i could find (#1500 & #2000).
3)most detail i do before the putty harden, and some when its semi hard ,just use hands or cutters for finer details(exp: zips & folds on shirt).even finer details can be carved or sanded after putty hardens.
hope that helps.
like to see your work soon !!! Quote:
u juz let the putty dry n stick on the pinky or after dry ue super glue 2 stick it in pinky?
those zips or fold is semi-hard then only work on it?
ei?sand paper can make detail?i thought sand is for smoothing the putty
by the way r u in design field or studying anything about design?
anyway thanks for ur help

epoxy putty sticks to anything(even your hands) before healed. its abit like blue-tact ,but after harden , it's as hard as rock . and can be sanded to shapes (or carved). so just stick it on to the pinky after mixing then work from there .
and no,i'm not in design field ,and never studied art or anything about design . just my hobby .Quote:
what i eman is juz stick the putty at the pinky area, after it harden alr with permenat stick on there?or u have apply super glue after it harden?
wow~didnt study art but ur work like some designer~cool
yeah , it will stick permanently on it when healed . no need to put glue . although some time the putty might come off if the surface is too smooth . then only i'll apply glue(i use epoxy fix : a two part glue you have to mix then only can glue, does not dry up like super glue, mix only when you want to use . very strong and slightly flexible after harden.)the tricky bit is trying to stick rock hard putty on to flexible pinky parts . so you might want to have thick layer of putty to your design in mind, so that it stays on.
PINKY is soft and the putty is rock hard .so if the putty layer is too thin ,it might crack .
